SPEDA video highlights Somerset-Pulaski County’s successes in public safety 

Service above self, community-minded policing, investing in law enforcement, an emphasis on collaboration — these are the qualities of a safe community. And Somerset has been recognized as one of the safest in Kentucky.

In SPEDA’s latest video, President & CEO Chris Girdler talks with Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, Somerset Police Chief William Hunt and Somerset Mayor Alan Keck about their approach to public safety and law enforcement and why it has been so successful. 

“Our officers know we’re committed to them, they know that we believe in them and that we value them. And that’s reflected in their performance and how they treat everyone in our community,” Keck said.
