The firm’s new headquarters will house its portfolio of businesses, providing a productive workspace and elevated client experience
Ikerd Holdings, a rapidly expanding real estate services and investment firm in Somerset serving clients in Kentucky, southern Indiana, southern Ohio and northern Tennessee, has announced an expansion of its headquarters that will enhance operations across its family of companies and create new opportunities for local residents. The investment will add space for up to 18 additional team members and support growing demand for residential and commercial real estate and development services across the region.
The new headquarters — home base for Ikerd Holdings, Five Star Title, Ikerd Development, and the company’s management, finance, and commercial investment operations — will feature three conference and closing rooms accommodating up to 28 guests, 12 private offices, an expanded reception area, and a dedicated team collaboration and break lounge. A modern, full glass-front office design will create a bright, open workspace that supports productivity, efficiency, and an elevated client experience, Founder & CEO Cory W. Ikerd said.
Five Star Title, the firm’s full-service title agency, will see immediate benefits from the new layout, which allows multiple closings at once and provides more room for staff growth. In the last year alone, Ikerd Holdings has added six new employees, strengthening operations, legal support, accounting and client services.
This milestone marks the latest step in a journey that began with Ikerd’s first investment property in 2013 and continued with the groundbreaking of the current site in 2017.
Ikerd cherishes the memory of celebrating that groundbreaking with his late grandfather, developer and entrepreneur Jerry Ikerd, whom Ikerd credits for his lifelong work ethic. Ikerd said at the time, he believed the space in the current building would “last a lifetime,” but rising demand has made further expansion essential, underscoring the company’s disciplined approach to growth and its commitment to Somerset.
Ikerd says the expansion is about more than additional space — it’s about investing in people and place.
“These companies were built through years of long hours, discipline, and a commitment to doing things the right way. None of this growth happens without our team — we push for excellence, hold ourselves accountable, and stay focused on serving our clients and communities,” Ikerd said. “Creating opportunities in my hometown is what motivates me. I love seeing young professionals come in, grow, and build their futures right here in Somerset. The company has built a culture centered on mentorship, accountability, and leadership development, giving young professionals the tools to grow personally and professionally. This expansion reflects that shared effort, and it’s only the beginning.”
Somerset Mayor Alan Keck praised the project as both a business success story and a reflection of a family deeply rooted in service to the community.
“The Ikerd family has contributed to Somerset’s progress for generations, and Cory continues that legacy with vision, integrity, and a true belief in what our community can become,” Keck said. “Seeing a homegrown business like Ikerd Holdings thrive, reinvest, and create new opportunities is exactly the kind of growth we are working to foster. This expansion is a win for the company, a win for our workforce, and a win for Somerset.”
SPEDA President & CEO Chris Girdler acknowledged the significance of the project and the momentum it adds to the region’s development.
“Cory and the entire Ikerd Holdings team continue to demonstrate the power of local leadership and long-term commitment,” Girdler said. “This expansion supports new jobs, strengthens our real estate and commercial development industries, and reinforces the value of SPEDA’s mission to create an environment where our existing businesses can grow and thrive.”
Pulaski County Judge-Executive Marshall Todd said the company’s latest investment demonstrates a “deep and ongoing commitment to the people of Somerset-Pulaski County.”
“Ikerd Holdings continues to be a shining example of the entrepreneurial spirit that drives Pulaski County forward,” Todd said. “Cory Ikerd and his team have built companies that not only serve our region with excellence, but also energize our local economy and create opportunities for our families. We’re proud to celebrate this growth and look forward to even more success stories from the Ikerd companies here in Somerset and Pulaski County.”
Ikerd Holdings expects to move into its expanded headquarters and be fully operational by the end of the first quarter of 2026. The firm will add new positions as operations expand. Interested applicants may submit resumes to rhart@ikerdholdings.com.
